I have a dollar for the first ‘intelligence” analyst on Janes Country Risk Watch who can tell me the last time Iceland saved the world from tyrrany, disaster or disease.
When the U.N. needs money, they call the U.S. Congress. When victims need liberation from dictatorship, they call the United States Marines. When disaster strikes, it is the bottomless generosity of American capitalists that meets the need.
We may not have acheived European socalist nirvana yet but we are still the land of the free and the home of the brave because we do not measure prosperity in government holidays or entitlement programs.
